The Kirby Park name was established some 20 years ago when a young horse was purchased for Megan, an enthusiastic young girl with dreams of making a career with horses. That dream has now become reality and Megan spends her days coaching, riding, competing and running the stud.
The highlight of Gillian's career has been to compete at two Olympic Games and win consecutive gold medals. The first 'gold' at Barcelona was a milestone in Australian Eventing when Gill became the first Aussie female to medal at any Olympic Games or World Championships..
Kim is 18 years old and is a member of the Australian Young Rider Squad. She lives in Dubbo where she works with her father, Bob, mother, Lynne, and sister Sally running ‘Dubbo Horseworld Equestrian Centre’. Kim trains her own horses and rides and educates horse for clients. She also “breaks in” and trains young horses.
Mary Hanna was born into a very horsey family, in the Western District of Victoria. She now lives at Statene Park in the Macedon Ranges and works as a full time Equestrian coach and trainer. Mary holds a bachelor of teaching and gives much of her time in the sport as an A level judge, NCAS Level II Dressage instructor and has also been an international Eventing judge from which she is now retried. Mary was originally an eventing rider, converting to dressage in her 20’s.
She also competed at state level as a pentathlete before committing to equestrian events and enjoys snow skiing, bridge and painting.
Shane is a serious show jumping and dressage competitor, professional
trainer, EFA NCAS Level 1 General Coach, PCAQ Specialist level “C”
Instructor, Blue card holder, and dedicated breeder of elite
performance warmbloods. In 1995 he was offered a position at a training
stable in Germany where he spent the next six years working, competing
and training in Dressage and Showjumping at various studs and
competition stables.
